Russians attack Prometey grain elevator in Sumy region

The Lebedyn grain elevator in Sumy region, which is part of the Prometey agricultural holding, suffered significant damage as a result of an attack by Russian drones. Russian troops destroyed two grain warehouses and the drying building of the enterprise.

The first strike by a Russian drone on the elevator occurred on the evening of August 8. Approximately half an hour later, the drone attacked the same warehouses again.

Two strikes on one object with a short interval indicate a targeted attack on civilian agricultural infrastructure.

None of the company’s employees were injured as a result of the shelling.

According to the report, the owner and chairman of the supervisory board of the agricultural holding, Rafael Goroyan, the loss of the elevator is a serious blow to the company. Prometey was one of the “largest, most powerful and most profitable enterprises” of the agricultural holding.

The company’s specialists are currently eliminating the consequences of the attack and assessing the extent of the damage. All damage will be documented and entered into the register of property destroyed or damaged as a result of Russian aggression.
