Russians attack residential area of Kostyantynivka with air bomb, five people killed

On September 18, Russian troops dropped an air bomb on the residential area of Kostyantynivka, in the Donetsk region. Five people died as a result of the attack, the press services of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office and the regional police reported.

According to law enforcement officials, the Russians attacked the city at around 10:00 on September 18. The Russians used a planning and correction module from the FAB-250 for the attack. It should be noted that such modules convert unguided bombs into high-precision munitions with an increased range.

“A residential building was hit by the Russian army. Five residents aged 62 to 74 suffered fatal injuries. Three men and two women were on the street during the shelling,” the press service of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office reported.

Four facades of apartment buildings were damaged in the affected area. Law enforcement officials did not specify whether there were any injuries as a result of the attack.

The prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the shelling under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (committing a war crime).
