On the morning of October 7, Russian troops attacked the city of Sumy. As a result, a trolleybus was attacked, as well as windows in residential and non-residential buildings were damaged. The passenger and driver received assistance at the scene, said the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grigorov.
“Windows in three 10-story buildings and several non-residential premises were also destroyed. The liquidation of the consequences of the attack is ongoing – all services are working on the site,” Grigorov added.
On the night of October 7, Russian troops shelled the city of Poltava and the region. It was noted that the railway infrastructure and energy supply facilities were damaged. According to the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, a locomotive depot, an energy supply station and traction substations were damaged in Poltava.
The attacks on Sumy and Poltava indicate the continuation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and the aggravation of the situation in the region. Attacks on civilian objects shock the local population and disrupt the peaceful way of life in the region.
