Russians attack utility vehicle in Donetsk region

A Russian drone hit a utility vehicle near Sloviansk. One specialist was killed and two others were injured in the attack. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

The incident occurred on January 30, when the utility workers were returning from repairs at an infrastructure facility. The workers were employees of the only enterprise that supplies water to the Donetsk region.

The company’s general director, Igor Novak, said: “The deceased worked as a mechanic in the emergency repair and restoration team. He is survived by his wife, who also works at the enterprise in the water laboratory, and two adult children.” The other victims are receiving medical care and are under the supervision of doctors.

The attack is yet another proof that civilian infrastructure and utility workers remain under constant threat due to military operations in Donbas.
