Russians attacked Donetsk region with various caliber weapons: five killed, three wounded

As a result of Russian shelling of the Donetsk region on July 18, five people died, three more were injured.

In the morning, the Russians launched an artillery bombardment of the village of Pleshchiivka, Kramatorsk district. An 85-year-old local resident died as a result of the impact agent hitting the residential building. They tried to save his wife, but she died during emergency treatment.

In addition, the Russians struck the village of Grodivka, Pokrovsky District. The occupiers’ ammunition hit the private sector, where three women aged 26, 32 and 77 died of life-threatening injuries.

The Russian army also targeted the village of Velika Novosilka in the Volnova district. Previously, the Russians used two KAB-250 aerial bombs against the civilian population. A married couple aged 48 and 56 were injured while in their own home.

Another man was injured in Zalizny, which was fired upon by the Russians, probably from artillery. He was at home at the time of the attack. The 58-year-old victim was hospitalized.

In the Donetsk region, as a result of shelling by the Russian army, a fire occurred on the territory of a mine.

“There were 24 workers in the mine at the time of the accident. They were brought to the surface,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
