Russian troops attacked rescuers in Chernihiv region on October 8. As a result of the shelling, fire equipment of the State Emergency Service was damaged.
The State Emergency Service reported this: “As a result of repeated Russian shelling, the equipment of the State Emergency Service unit and the fire brigade in the village of Zhadov, Novgorod-Siversky district was damaged.”
It is reported that on the evening of October 8, a fire broke out in a store with an area of about 120 sq.m. due to the fall of a Russian drone. Rescuers, together with the local fire brigade, began to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
During the work, the Russians struck again. Fortunately, at that moment, the employees of the State Emergency Service were in a safe place.
Over the past week, Russia has been carrying out massive attacks on the infrastructure of Chernihiv and the region. The situation became especially difficult after the attacks that took place in early October.
The main target of the Russians is Nizhyn, Bobrovytsia, Pryluky. Due to the shelling in these cities, there were significant interruptions in electricity and water supply.
According to Chernihivoblenergo, on October 8, Russian troops once again shelled the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv region at night. More than 4.5 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.
Also, on the night of October 8, Russian troops attacked a fire station in the Chernihiv region. As a result of the strike, the building of the State Emergency Service was damaged.
Due to Russian strikes, train traffic from Nizhyn to Kyiv and vice versa was complicated, long-distance and suburban routes were changed.
