Russians attacked the center of Dobropillya with a guided bomb in the evening, there are casualties

On July 16, Russian troops dropped a 500-kilogram bomb on a shopping center in the center of Dobropillya, Donetsk region, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadym Filashkin reported.

“2 dead, 14 wounded – these are the preliminary consequences of the strike on Dobropillya. It is likely that people are still under the rubble – the search for survivors is ongoing,” Filashkin wrote.

He noted that according to estimates, 30 damaged retail outlets, 6 high-rise buildings and 8 cars are known.

“I am at the scene of the strike, I am personally monitoring the progress of the rescue operation. Rescuers, doctors, police and all responsible services are working,” the head of the regional military administration emphasized.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, commenting on the strike, noted that the Russians attacked at an hour when local residents were returning from work. The strike fell on the area of the Aurora store.

“Rescuers, medics, military doctors are working – the local hospital cannot accept everyone,” Lubinets said.

“This is another deliberate strike on civilians. Russia is waging war against peaceful Ukrainians and is destroying life even far from the front line. The world must finally admit: terrorism will not stop on its own. We need concrete solutions, increased pressure, and action!” he added.
