Russians blew up Iskander in the air: wanted more victims in Kharkiv

Russian Iskanders hit a residential neighborhood in the Osnovyanskyi district of Kharkiv.

At five in the morning, when the explosions sounded, there was almost no one on the streets. The fragments of the missiles flew hundreds of meters. The Russian Federation attacked Kharkiv with three ballistic missiles. According to the latest information, a 78-year-old man was killed, more than 60 people were injured. Dozens of houses, cars and a school were damaged.

It is already known that the Iskander exploded in the air to cause more damage to people and buildings. This was reported by a representative of the prosecutor’s office.

“Russian military personnel, using three high-explosive ballistic missiles “Iskander”, struck the Osnovyanskyi district. Civilian enterprises and residential areas were hit. 52 people were injured. Among them were five children: 2, 4, 14, 16 and 17 years old. A 78-year-old man died. He was sleeping in his apartment. More than 50 apartment buildings were damaged. Prosecutors and investigators are working at the scene to record the consequences. It is already known that the missile was detonated in the air with the aim of damaging civilian objects as much as possible,” Spartak Borisenko, head of the department for combating crimes committed in the context of armed conflict, said at the scene.

It is also known that the “Iskander”, with which the Russian Federation struck Kharkiv, was loaded with shrapnel: numerous traces on the buildings testify to this.
