Russians came to Kharkiv region with lists and detained Ukrainians: new data about Russian crimes surfaced

The Russians entered the villages of the Lipetsk community in the north of Kharkiv region with lists and detained Ukrainians. So far, several residents have managed to get out.

As of May 17, 296 civilians remain in the community, 148 of them in the villages. This was reported by the head of the local rural military administration, Oleksiy Slabchenko: “Several people managed to get out on their own. They said that when the Russians came, they had lists, and some people were immediately arrested and taken to an unknown direction.”

Other residents do not have the opportunity to leave due to active hostilities. They can evacuate either to our other villages or to Russia. According to him, there is no connection with the villages occupied by the Russians. Russian troops are shelling the territory of Kharkiv Region communities with guided aerial bombs, rockets, small arms and artillery.

According to Slabchenko, out of 17 settlements of the community, there are currently no residents in five. For the last two days, people have been evacuated from the villages of Liptsi, Slobozhanske, Borshchova and Vesele.

“For the last two days, people have been evacuated from the villages of Lyptsi, Slobozhanske, Borschova and Vesele. On May 16, six people were evacuated from Vesely, three more left independently. As for Lyptsi, you can leave there only by special transport accompanied by the State Emergency Service and the National Police. The situation is difficult, constant shelling.” , the official added.

At the time of the beginning of active hostilities, there were 120 people in Veselmo, now – 22. There were 350 in Slobozhansky, now – 35, in Liptsy there were 500, now – 78.

The number of people wanting to leave has decreased, but constant shelling forces them to ask for evacuation. Now it is more difficult to do, but the State Emergency Service, the police and volunteers are helping.

“It is difficult to leave one’s property and go into the unknown. Although people are provided with housing, financial assistance is provided,” Slabchenko said.

He also added that in some cases people do not drive because of pets.

“On May 16, employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police spoke for a long time with a family that has 30 dogs and 20 cats, they do not want to leave because they are afraid that they will not be granted conditions, and these are their pets. There are people who have cows, pigs, chickens, that’s why they are afraid. Most of our people are over 60 years old,” he summarized.
