Russians cut Ukrainian soldier’s throat and threw him into a pit until he died

However, he survived: he was able to clamp the wound with his hand, bandaged his neck with a piece of clothing, and in this state for five days he reached the Ukrainian troops. All this time he fought for his life, feeding on mice and escaping infection, because larvae had already appeared in the wounds. According to Ryzhenko, the militants, among whom were former prisoners released by Russia to participate in the war, abused the prisoners.

The sergeant managed to survive, and is now under the supervision of doctors in Dnipro. His story has become yet another proof of the cruel war crimes that Russian troops are committing against Ukrainian defenders.
