On the night of October 6, the Russians destroyed two substations supplying Kharkiv, but within a few hours, electricity was restored to over 18,000 subscribers.
This was reported by Chairman Igor Terekhov.
According to him, as a result of new Russian shelling, Kharkiv lost two transformer substations that provided electricity to part of the city. This was a serious blow to the energy system of the region.
According to the joint-stock company “Kharkivoblenergo”, at the peak of the accident, about 22,000 subscribers were left without electricity, but within a few hours the number of outages had decreased to 3,500.
The restoration of electricity supply was possible thanks to the round-the-clock work of power engineers and utilities, who are working together to ensure the stable functioning of the city.
