Russians destroyed school buses in Mykolaiv region donated by foreign partners

The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, spoke about the condition of facilities purchased at the expense of foreign investments, as well as further priorities for cooperation with international partners.

Over the past four years, the Mykolaiv region has managed to attract 333 million euros in foreign investments. In particular, this amount includes the cost of medical transport, school buses, fire equipment, as well as modular houses and paramedical stations. She asked what equipment continues to function under constant shelling, and what could not be saved.

According to Vitaly Kim, almost all facilities were saved. Two school buses were badly damaged by the shelling. Some medical facilities were also damaged earlier, but they have already been restored and continue to work.

The head of the regional military administration noted that assistance from international partners continues, with some support already planned for several years ahead. In particular, Denmark has approved a three-year assistance plan for the Mykolaiv region in the amount of 225 million euros, which provides for financing critical infrastructure, economic recovery and projects aimed at developing the region. According to Kim, the region is gradually moving from emergency response to strategic planning. Currently, in addition to urgent requests related to the passage of the winter period, the emphasis is on supporting development projects for territorial communities, which will allow them to independently restore and develop the regional economy.
