Russians dropped at least nine FAB-3000 bombs on an underground school in Komyshuvakha: 18 people killed, 27 missing, others wounded

On the morning of November 2, Russian forces dropped bombs on Komyshuvakha, located in the Zaporizhzhia district. They launched targeted strikes on the center of the settlement using at least nine FAB-3000 guided aerial bombs.

The airstrikes hit an underground school that was being used as a “resilience center” (a designated shelter and aid hub).

Humanitarian aid was being distributed to local residents there starting at 9:00 a.m. After the initial strike, the Russians launched a follow-up attack.

Eighteen deaths have been confirmed, and five people have been wounded.

Among the deceased are a police officer and two rescuers from the State Emergency Service (SES). Another 27 people are reported missing.

Search and rescue operations are underway at the site, though they have had to be repeatedly paused because Russian forces continue to carry out drone attacks.

The police added that the collapsed structure is filled with thick smoke, making rescue efforts extremely difficult and dangerous.
