Recently, it became known that the troops of the Russian Federation dug a mega-trench, 70 km long, in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Russian military dug a huge trench in Zaporizhzhia, which begins in the village near Melitopol and ends near Primorsk. Its total length is 70 km, and they started digging it in September 2022. The Defense Forces then commented on such a prank of the invaders and said that they did it because of the fear of a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces.
The head of the regional Department of Culture and Information Policy, Vladyslav Moroko, said that the Russian troops caused damage to Ukraine in the amount of more than 200 million hryvnias by such actions. He explained that while digging a trench, Russian troops damaged 160 barrows and thereby caused great damage to Ukraine: “Recently, the Ukrainian media reported about a 70 km long trench in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Everyone mocked because of the fright of the occupiers. And little by little they forgot about him. But specialists of the Cultural Heritage Protection Center remotely analyzed this information for damage to the mounds. And it turned out – that while digging in our land, they damaged almost 160 burial mounds, thereby causing damage to Ukraine in the amount of more than UAH 200,000,000. This is yet another proof that the Russian army destroys everything. But they cannot destroy the thousand-year history. And there will be an answer for everything. And for the mounds mutilated by the war too!” – wrote the head of the Department.
