Russians hit critical infrastructure facility in Lviv region: power outages

On May 13, Lviv region came under a Russian drone attack. A critical infrastructure facility was hit in Zhovkva.

According to Zhovkva chairman Oleg Volskyі, the city lost power.

“Unfortunately, in Zhovkva, a Russian aircraft arrived at a critical infrastructure facility. The city is without power,” he wrote on his Telegram page.

According to the official, emergency services are working at the site of the “arrival.” He also appealed to citizens not to film anything and to stay in safe places until the airstrike is over.

The mayor of Zhovkva informed that Russian targets had repeatedly attacked a critical infrastructure facility.

Later, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyі, clarified that during the air raid, the Russians attacked energy and industrial facilities. Also, according to him, one residential building was damaged as a result of falling debris: windows were broken and the roof was damaged. There was no information about the victims at the moment.

“Currently, more than 10 thousand subscribers in our region are without electricity. 17 settlements are completely without electricity, nine are partially. Emergency services are working on the ground,” he noted.
