Russians hit eco-park with drone in Kharkiv region: animals died

On March 3, a Russian drone hit an eco-park in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The incident killed animals.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, this happened at around 01:00 in the village of Lisne.

The hit was recorded in the territory of the eco-park near the contact yard. Aviaries were destroyed in the territory of the eco-park. The strike occurred not far from the contact yard. Goats died.

“All possible and appropriate measures are being taken to document war crimes committed by Russian servicemen,” the prosecutor’s office added.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Dergachi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched,” the prosecutor’s office added.

The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, reacted to the cynical attack by Russian troops.

The Ombudsman emphasized that Russian aggression leads to the death of not only people, but also a huge number of animals. The flora and fauna of Ukraine are systematically suffering.

Dmytro Lubinets reported that as a result of a night strike by a Russian drone on the “Feldman Ecopark”, animals died, several more received concussions. He emphasized that such an act of violence not only harms animals, but also negatively affects nature, threatening local ecosystems.

The Ombudsman added: “It is important to understand that such attacks on civilian objects that are engaged in the protection of animals and nature violate the foundations of environmental protection.”
