The head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, came under artillery fire while recording an address when the Russians again shelled Kherson on the morning of April 16: “After hitting guided aerial bombs in the Central district of Kherson, I came under fire from Russian troops. Our Kherson land saved me. The Russian army is not allowing us to fully begin the elimination of the consequences of this shelling yet.”
According to Mrochko, at 6:30 a.m. on April 16, a resident of Kherson died as a result of artillery fire by the Russians. During the shelling, he was on the street in the Central district of the city. His identity is currently being established.
He also noted that a 70-year-old Kherson woman received an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds as a result of Russian shelling of the Central district of the city.
“She is currently hospitalized. Doctors are providing the victim with the necessary assistance,” the head of the city’s military administration reported.
Later, he added that a 61-year-old man was taken to the hospital after suffering an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg as a result of the morning shelling of the Central District.
“During the Russian attack, he was in an apartment. Doctors are providing the victim with the necessary assistance,” Mrochko wrote.
