During a missile and drone attack on the night of November 8, the railway infrastructure was damaged.
This was reported by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, as a result of the attacks in Poltava region, there is no power supply at several stations and the contact network has been damaged in some areas. Specialists are working on the ground to restore them. Diesel locomotives have been used on some routes and transfers have been coordinated:
“The Russians are increasing their attacks on locomotive depots. Our railway workers are working on the ground to restore the infrastructure as soon as possible and return traffic to its usual rhythm.”
At present, it is preliminary known that the depot was destroyed in Hrebinka, the details are being clarified.
Recall that in the morning it was reported that a number of trains will have significant delays on the way, since movement in the indicated areas is possible only by diesel locomotives. Suburban flights in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions will also operate with possible delays of approximately 1.5-2 hours.
