Russians hit residential area in Balakliya with missile: there are dead and injured

Russian troops launched a missile strike on the city of Balakliya in the Kharkiv region. As a result, one person died. Nine more were injured.

The shelling took place on Wednesday, October 1. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

It is known that the central part of the city was attacked. The missile hit the ground next to a five-story residential building.

“According to preliminary data, a 70-year-old woman died, 9 more people were injured. The information is being clarified. Units of the State Emergency Service and firefighters of the local fire brigade are working at the scene,” the rescuers said in a statement. As a result, a fire broke out in one of the apartments on the fifth floor. Cars parked nearby also caught fire.
