Russians launched 559 strikes on Zaporizhzhia region

During the day on August 22, Russians launched 559 strikes on 40 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. Three people were killed and 20 more were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district.

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, the Russians carried out 11 air strikes, attacked 433 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV), carried out 2 strikes with MLRS and delivered 113 artillery strikes in the region.

The Russians attacked Kushugum from the air. Unfortunately, as a result of these strikes, three people died and 15 more were injured. Another person was injured due to an attack by an FPV drone on a car.

On the highway near Viktorivka, a Russian drone hit a passenger car. The driver and passenger of the car were injured.

Three more people were injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of attacks by Russian drones.

In total, during August 22, law enforcement officers recorded 230 reports of damage to houses and apartments, adjacent territories and cars.

Based on the facts of Russian armed aggression, law enforcement officers opened proceedings under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
