Russians once again hit Ukrnafta’s production infrastructure: equipment damaged

On the night of September 3, 2026, the Russians once again attacked Ukrnafta’s production infrastructure with drones.

Russian UAVs struck the territory of Ukrnafta’s regional divisions in Sumy region.

“The most important thing is that fortunately, no people were injured, the personnel were in shelter,” said Bohdan Kukura, Chairman of the Board of Ukrnafta JSC. – As a result of the hit, the equipment was damaged and a fire broke out. Currently, the SES forces have localized the fire, and a detailed assessment of all damage caused by the Russian drone strike is underway.”

The Russians are targeting civilian infrastructure that ensures oil and gas production.

Ukrnafta continues to work, restore equipment, and provide the country with a critically needed resource.

Joint Stock Company “Ukrnafta” is the largest oil producing company in Ukraine, and is the operator of the largest national network of filling stations – Ukrnafta. In 2024, the company entered into asset management with Glusco. In 2025, it completed an agreement with Shell Overseas Investments BV to purchase the Shell network in Ukraine. In total, it operates almost 700 filling stations.

The company is implementing a comprehensive program to resume operations and update the format of its network of gas stations.
