Russians open another center for militarization of children and youth in occupied Volnovakha

Russian propaganda with pathos tells that another center for militarization of children and youth has been opened in occupied Volnovakha – the “Youth Army House”.

The occupation authorities call this center for military training of the younger generation and ideological influence on children a “multi-profile educational center”.

This is the fifth such center for military training in the occupied part of Donetsk region. Centers for ideological indoctrination of youth had previously existed in Donetsk, Shakhtarsk, Debaltseve and Mariupol, and the second in Volnovakha. However, the first center was created by another Russian organization.

“Youth Army” is an all-Russian militarist movement for children. It appeared in 2016 on the initiative of the then Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu. “Youth Army” accepts children from 8 years old.

“Yunarmiya” is one of the Russian ideological and military organizations. In addition to this organization, there are others, in particular “Voin”, where military training is the main goal, which is not even hidden.

The Russians are building a large military center in the Donetsk region to prepare young people for war – “Center for Military and Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth “Voin”. The area where this military center is being built is 8.7 hectares.

In early December 2005, Gauleiter Pushilin reported on the number of teenagers from the occupied territory who have already been prepared to participate in the war. One of the “Voin” centers is also located in Volnovakha in the former building of the “House of Children’s and Youth Creativity”.
