Russians rape women, children and men: the youngest victim is 4 years old, the oldest is 82

As of today, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office is investigating 205 cases of rape of Ukrainians by Russians. The age of the youngest victim is four years, the oldest is 82. Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, provided relevant data: “Russians rape women, children and men. The oldest age of the victim is 82 years old, but believe me, when we talk about 205 crimes, this does not show the whole systemic picture that shows what is happening in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

When we arrive at the liberated territories in each settlement, local residents approach us and report sexual crimes in each. Moreover, according to my data, this is such a system – a system of additional pressure, intimidation of the civilian population living in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine,” he said.

The ombudsman emphasized that Russian soldiers do this deliberately and en masse. He added that this continues even now – every week there are reports of the rape of people by the occupiers in the territories controlled by the Russian Federation.

Lubinets emphasized that the issue of bringing criminals to justice is extremely difficult. However, he added that there is no statute of limitations for such crimes.

“If these Russians had not refused, we would do everything to identify everyone who did it, as well as every leader of the military group who gave the order for it. As of today, we have a verdict against one Russian serviceman who has already been convicted for this,” he said.
