
A Russian court has sentenced a 58-year-old Ukrainian named Nikitenko, who lives in the village of Pryazovske in the Zaporizhzhia region, to 12 years in prison in a strict regime colony.
This was reported by the Russian prosecutor’s office of the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the Russian version, from December 2024 to March 2025, the man allegedly made 12 money transfers totaling about 3.2 thousand rubles for contributions to the Ukrainian army.
He also allegedly bought military bonds through a mobile application for more than 998 thousand rubles.
The Ukrainian was detained by the Russian FSB.
The Russian court found Nikitenko guilty under Art. 276.1 “Provision of financial assistance by a foreign citizen staying on the territory of the Russian Federation to a Russian in activities deliberately directed against the security of the Russian Federation” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
