Around 10 a.m. on January 30, the Russians shelled Avdiivka, and other settlements in Donetsk region came under fire in the morning.
37-year-old and 45-year-old men and a 69-year-old woman were injured.
Russian terrorists fired artillery and FPV drones at Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar and New York in Donetsk region on January 30. As a result of the attacks, a woman died, and three more people were injured. The prosecutor’s office opened a case based on the facts of the shelling.
This is reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. It is noted that around 09:00, the city of Chasiv Yar came under fire from the occupiers. A 45-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were injured as a result of a hit on one of the streets of the private sector. They were taken to the hospital with shrapnel wounds.
“Preliminarily, Russian troops used an FPV drone against the civilian population,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Around 10 a.m., the Russians shelled Avdiivka with artillery, hitting a private house. A 47-year-old woman died. The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, clarified that several private houses and a high-rise building were also damaged. Representatives of local authorities, police and rescuers are working on the spot.
Consequences of shelling of Avdiyivka
In addition, the Russians, probably from artillery, shelled the city of New York. A 37-year-old local resident who was in his own yard was injured. Doctors diagnosed him with a leg injury.
The explosions also damaged private households, apartment buildings, and farm buildings. The Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office started a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war (parts 1, 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the Donetsk regional military administration, on January 29, the Russians shelled populated areas of Donetsk 19 times by train. 89 people, including 18 children, were evacuated from the front line.
In particular, the Russians shelled Krasnohorivka, Elizavetivka, and Maksimilianivka in the Marin community. 6 houses were damaged in Tsukuriny of the Selydiv community, and the outskirts of the Kurakhiv community were shelled. In Myrnograd, 1 person died and 1 was injured, an annex to the hotel and 2 high-rise buildings were damaged.
Torske, Zarichne, and the environs of Yampol, Yampolivka, and Terni came under fire from the Russians in the Lyman community. In Kostyantynivka, 3 private houses, a garage, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged.
In the Chasovoyarsk community, 5 private houses, 2 high-rise buildings, an infrastructure facility and a trade pavilion were damaged as a result of shelling. In Siversk, 3 high-rise buildings and an infrastructure object were damaged.
