Russians shelled Slovyansk: one person was killed, two children were among the wounded

On Monday, October 7, Russian troops attacked Slovyansk in Donetsk region. As a result of the shelling, one person died, and seven more were injured, including two children.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin. As of 20:00, it is known that among the injured are 2-year-old and 13-year-old girls, who are currently in a satisfactory condition.

A 25-year-old mother and three women aged 21 to 72 are also among the victims. And another one of the residents experienced an acute stress disorder due to the attack.

The shelling, during which the Russian troops probably fired two shells from the “UMPB D-30 SN”, took place on October 7, 2024 at 17:10. The shots hit the yard of the apartment building and the road. A 44-year-old man who was in the car died from his injuries, he could not be saved, despite hospitalization.

As a result of the attack, at least three residential buildings, cars and a car wash were damaged. The Prosecutor’s Office of Donetsk region opened criminal proceedings under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and is engaged in recording war crimes.
