Russians shelled Sumy region 65 times on November 8-9, a woman was injured

On November 8, Russian troops carried out 65 attacks on 31 settlements in the Sumy region, a 78-year-old woman was injured.

This was reported by the Sumy regional military administration.

“During the day, from the morning of November 8 to the morning of November 9, 2025, Russian troops carried out 65 attacks on 31 settlements in 12 territorial communities of the region,” the report says.

It is noted that a 78-year-old woman was injured in the Putyvl community as a result of a UAV strike.

According to the regional military administration, the most attacks were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The Russians used about 20 KABs, carried out up to 20 VOG drops from drones, 10 strikes from MLRS, and also struck with FPV drones.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed. Thus, in Seredino-Budsk community, a private car was damaged, in Putyvlsk – private residential buildings, in Sumy – civil infrastructure facilities, a non-residential building. In Esmansk community, a private household was destroyed, and in Shostkа – a civil infrastructure facility and a private residential building were damaged.

Over the course of the day, the air alert in the region lasted 18 hours and 57 minutes, the regional military administration added.
