Russians shelled the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region — one person died, four others were injured

On December 9, Russian troops shelled the city of Kostyantynivka and the village of Stara Mykolaivka, which are in the Illinivska community of Donetsk region. As a result, one person died and four others were injured. The facades of residential buildings, commercial establishments, vehicles, a garage, an outbuilding, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged.

This was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office. “Russian troops fired five artillery shells at residential areas of Kostyantynivka. A 72-year-old man received a concussion in the private sector near his place of residence. A 43-year-old man was injured in the city center — he was diagnosed with a hand wound,” the regional prosecutor’s office specified.

The prosecutor’s office said that as a result of the attack on the village of Stara Mykolaivka, a 91-year-old resident died near the store. In addition, the 44-year-old owner of the store received shrapnel wounds to her hand and eye, and a 53-year-old man who came to shop received multiple injuries to his hips and back. “The victims were provided with medical assistance,” the prosecutor’s office added. The prosecutor’s office specified that law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes under Part 1, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely, violation of the laws and customs of war.
