Russians shot a disabled man in Vovchansk: an investigation has been launched

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has opened criminal proceedings in connection with the shooting by Russian troops of a disabled man in Vovchansk.

This is reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.

According to reports, the Telegram channel of journalist Andrii Tsaplienko revealed a publication in which it is said that during the monitoring of the airspace over Vovchansk, aerial scouts discovered the body of a dead person in a wheelchair near a local hospital that was captured by the Russians.

Law enforcement officials are considering the version that the victim tried to drive away from the medical facility, but the Russian military shot him and threw him in a wheelchair to stand in the middle of a broken street.

Prosecutors of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
