Russians shot a woman in the Kherson region, and then tried to burn down her house

On April 24, Russians shot a local woman in one of the settlements of the temporarily occupied Jubilee community of the Kherson district. After that, they tried to set the woman’s house on fire

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Previously, the Russians came to the yard of a 65-year-old woman and demanded money from her. Not getting what they wanted, they fired several shots at her from an automatic weapon.

“Once again, representatives of the Russian Federation disregard the provision of international humanitarian law, which expressly prohibits murder and acts of violence against the civilian population,” the prosecutor’s office noted.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has started a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

In March, it was reported that the bodies of three men killed by the Russian military were found in the village of Kohany of the Holoprystan community of the Skadovsky district on the left bank of the Kherson region. They turned out to be local residents Oleksandr Karpus, Oleksandr Golenkov and Mykola Voznov.

36-year-old Oleksiy Bulenin and 37-year-old Muntyan Tarasenko from the Volgograd Region were detained in Kokhany on suspicion of murdering men. Bulenin was previously sentenced conditionally for stealing a car, Tarasenko – for violence.

Police investigators sent an indictment to the court against a 20-year-old soldier of the 50th separate operational brigade of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation. The man illegally imprisoned and tortured local residents.
