Russians shot four more Ukrainian prisoners of war in Pokrovskoye district of Donetsk region.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to law enforcement officers, on November 22, the Russians launched an attack on a position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located near the village of Petrivka. During the enemy assault, four Ukrainian servicemen were forcibly surrendered. Immediately after that, the Russians opened fire on them with automatic weapons.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine recalled that the intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.
Law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional killing (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On November 28, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine had already reported that it had established another execution of prisoners of war. Russian troops executed five Ukrainians near Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
