Russians strike “Epicentr” site in Volyn; warehouses damaged

On the night of October 20, Russian forces targeted energy facilities and civilian infrastructure in the Volyn region. Kovel was the area hit hardest that night; specifically, a strike was recorded on the premises of an “Epicentr” store.

According to Roman Romaniuk, head of the Regional Military Administration, the hypermarket’s warehouse facilities were damaged in the shelling. “Epicentr” has not issued an official comment regarding this attack.

It was another difficult night for the Volyn region. Almost every hour, the Russian launched “Shahed”-type attack drones toward our region. In total, about 15 drones were detected in Volyn’s airspace, some of which subsequently moved into the Lviv region.

Additionally, a private vehicle service station and a parking lot for semi-trucks were damaged in Kovel.

Most importantly, despite another grueling night, there were no fatalities or injuries in the Volyn region—a truly great relief, given the intensity of the Russian attacks. Regarding the power supply, almost the entire region currently has electricity; only a few settlements in the Lutsk district remain without power.
