Russians strike shop in Kherson: there are victims

June 1, at about 11:00, the Russian army struck Kherson, an elderly woman died as a result of artillery shelling in a shop. This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“A 71-year-old woman died as a result of the shelling. Currently, it is also known about two civilians who were injured and taken to the hospital. All of them were in the shop at the time of the strike,” the department said.

Currently, law enforcement officers are recording a crime committed by servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces. An investigation has been launched into the fact of committing a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, the strike was carried out in the Dnipro district of the city. An elderly woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Her identity is currently being established.

A 64-year-old woman was also injured in the attack. She was taken to hospital with a blast and craniocerebral trauma, contusion, and a shrapnel wound to the parietal region. In addition, according to the regional military administration, a resident of Kherson, who also came under Russian shelling in the Dnipro district, went to the hospital. A 27-year-old man has a mine-explosive injury.
