Russians threaten deportation for refusing Russian passports

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, residents are threatened with eviction if they do not accept Russian citizenship. This is reported by the resistance movement “Yellow Ribbon”.

According to an activist of the movement, in one of the villages in the occupied part of the Kherson region, local residents who have not yet received Russian passports are openly threatened with deportation by collaborators.

People are summoned to the so-called “administration” and declared: “Don’t you want to be citizens of the Russian Federation? Then you have nothing to do here, you will simply be evicted”.

When residents ask on what grounds they can be evicted even under Russian laws, they are told: “Apply for a passport – then you will have rights, but now you have no rights at all”.

Thus, the Russians continue to forcibly issue passports and put pressure on the population of the temporarily occupied territories.
