The Russian army fired artillery at more than 120 settlements in nine regions, and also used rockets and kamikaze drones.
On the night of Sunday, December 10, Russian troops shelled populated areas of Ukraine, resulting in the deaths and injuries of civilians.
Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported on the two deaths in Kupyansk in the morning briefing.
“As a result of an enemy strike in the city of Kupyansk, two women aged 67 and 71 were killed. Another 33-year-old man was injured by shrapnel. The victim was hospitalized. A private house, a fence, and farm buildings were damaged,” he reported in Telegram.
Sinegubov added that as a result of the shelling in the village of Velikiy Burluk in the Kupian district, a dormitory of an educational institution was destroyed, a 51-year-old woman was injured in the village of Podola, and a private home was damaged.
As a result of shelling on the evening of December 9, at least five private houses and commercial buildings were damaged in Kupyansk, but there were no casualties.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning briefing that during the past day, the Russian military launched one missile and eight air strikes, carried out 34 attacks from rocket salvo systems on populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops.
“On December 9, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using the Kh-59 guided missile and the Shahed-136/131 type attack UAV. One Kh-59 guided missile was destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine, the enemy drone did not reach its goal,” – it says in the summary.
Also today, the Russian military struck Ukraine, using two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against the settlement of Velikiy Burluk, Kharkiv region.
Novomykhailivka and Prechistivka of the Donetsk region were hit by airstrikes.
More than 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
