Saving lives: Airstrike near Zaporizhzhia kills four police officers

In Komyshuvakha, near Zaporizhzhia, police officers were helping people take cover from shelling when Russian forces launched a follow-up strike.

Four police officers were killed on November 2 in Komyshuvakha, in the Zaporizhzhia district, as a result of a Russian airstrike.

During the Russian attack, law enforcement officers were assisting people in reaching a shelter—an “underground school.” A subsequent Russian strike trapped the people inside, including four police officers and two emergency responders.

Dozens of people—staff from the Administrative Service Center and members of the local community—perished under the rubble.
