In the so-called “education department” created by the occupiers in Izyum, law enforcement officers seized a folder with secret plans to replace Ukrainian education in schools with Russian. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, among the documents found are “materials for a meeting on the support and development of education systems of the Kharkiv region.” One of the curators of this process was the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
The aim of the occupiers was to issue Russian certificates of completion of 11th grade to the students on the basis of the Belgorod region. Also among the plans was an invitation to the region of teachers from the Russian Federation – a special emphasis was to be on “historians and writers” with the aim of introducing “patriotic education”. One of the documents states that school graduates should focus exclusively on admission to institutions of higher education in the Belgorod region. In addition, the occupiers planned to send one or two children “who stood out” to a camp in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and 7-9 graders to Belgorod. Russian propaganda for children was planned under the guise of “care and recreation”.
It is emphasized that the seized documents will be used by prosecutors to prosecute collaborators and investigate crimes related to the introduction of Russian education.
We will remind you that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, lists of teachers are drawn up who can be sent to work in the temporarily occupied districts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
In the temporarily occupied Kherson, the principals of only two schools out of 60 agreed to switch to the Russian curriculum.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, the occupiers have brought teachers from Russia and are forcing parents to send their children to kindergartens and schools with a Russian curriculum.
In the liberated Izyum of the Kharkiv region, they found a folder with a secret plan of the occupiers on how to “develop” Russian education in Ukraine. Among the documents were “materials for a meeting on support and development of the education system in the Kharkiv region.” One of the curators of this process was the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
