On the night of November 11, the Russian kamikaze drone “Shakhed” hit a residential building in Mykolaiv, partially destroying and damaging the houses where the residents were sleeping. Five people died from the Russian attack, another woman was hospitalized, and 22 people sought psychological help on the spot.
Several apartments in a high-rise building near the epicenter of the explosion were completely destroyed by fire, in others the windows were broken. The resident told about the experience: “At first it was rattling… These “mopeds” were knocking over. I was sleeping in the very room where it later flew. I could hear it flying down. I wanted to open the window, but it’s a good thing I didn’t get up, because the windows were all broken flew over my head. I covered myself with a blanket, and they flew past me,” the woman said.
She added that after the shelling, the residents helped to clear the debris. However, then the rescuers called everyone to leave: it was dangerous, because the apartments on the top two floors were on fire. Several cars were also burnt.
According to the regional military administration, at night over the Mykolaiv region, the defenders of the sky shot down five Russian attack drones.
The hit of “Shakhed” in Mykolaiv happened around 01:50: fires broke out in a multi-story building and a private building, which were quickly extinguished. One private house was destroyed, several were damaged, including a high-rise building. Two cars were destroyed. The blast wave damaged apartments, four shops, there was a breakdown of the heating network, there is a disconnection from the heating and gas supply.
