Eight regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv experienced problems with electricity and gas supply due to hostilities and technological disruptions.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv region, the 110 kV overhead line was disconnected due to hostilities, and the substation equipment was damaged. 20 settlements – 11,281 subscribers – were without electricity in the region.
In total, 27,236 consumers are without electricity in the region due to enemy shelling.
In Kharkiv, the Kharkiv Palace hotel was damaged by a missile attack by Russian troops. According to the instructions of the State Service for Emergency Situations, the gas supply to the roof boiler room has been stopped. There are no gas leaks.
Also, gas supply to 292 consumers was stopped in Kharkiv.
In one of the settlements of the Kupyan district, a low-pressure gas pipeline was damaged by enemy shelling – 70 subscribers were left without gas.
In Vinnytsia, due to a short-term power outage in one of the buildings, the protection at the gas control point tripped, as a result of which gas supply to 1,300 consumers was stopped.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 4,226 consumers were cut off for technical reasons during the day. Previously disconnected subscribers were also without electricity.
In total, energy companies in the region managed to restore 4,741 consumers.
As of the morning of December 31, 175 consumers are without electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk region. 1,443 subscribers lost power due to enemy shelling. Restoration work is ongoing.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, 34 consumers were disconnected due to enemy shelling. As of this morning, all of them have recovered. 63 settlements – 5631 subscribers – remain without electricity supply in the region.
In Kyiv, 213 consumers have no electricity due to technological reasons. Restoration work is ongoing.
In the Odesa region, 296 consumers remain without electricity due to enemy shelling.
In the Sumy region, a 10 kV overhead line was disconnected due to a Russian artillery strike – three settlements (502 consumers) were left without electricity. Energy workers will heal them as soon as the military allows.
In total, 57 settlements remain without power in the region due to Russian shelling, 11 of them partially (2,784 consumers).
In the Kherson region, 45 settlements – 39,577 accounting points, including 13,574 in Kherson itself – are without electricity due to hostilities.
In the Chernihiv region, as a result of shelling by the Russians the day before, 18 settlements remain without power. In total, 1,205 subscribers are without electricity. Restoration work is ongoing.
Due to technological reasons, gas supply to 66 household consumers was temporarily stopped in one of the villages of Kozeletsky district.
In Semenivka, gas pipelines of private houses were damaged by Russian shelling – there are disconnected consumers.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the situation in the country’s energy system is stable. The use of scheduled shutdowns is not provided for.
