Shelling of Kharkiv region: there are wounded in Kupyansk, 14 houses were damaged, S-300 missiles hit Vyazov

On May 23, the Russians massively shelled populated areas of the Kharkiv, Kupyan, Izyum and Chuguyiv districts with barrel artillery, anti-aircraft guns, and using rocket weapons.

This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.

As noted, at least 14 private residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling of Kupyansk from rocket launchers, and fires broke out. 2 women – 76 and 53 years old and a civilian 35-year-old man – were injured. All the victims were hospitalized.

“In the area of the village of Vyazove, Kharkiv district, the enemy struck with 2 S-300 missiles. Both were hit in an open area in a field. There were no damages or casualties,” the message says.

Demining continues. During the day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected 9.8 hectares of territory and neutralized 59 explosive objects.

“In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the Masyutivka area of the Kharkiv region. They carried out airstrikes near the village of Orlyanka in the Petropavlovsk community of the Kupyansk region, Kislivka and Tabaivka of the Kharkiv region. Kamianka, Figolivka, Novomlynsk were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks , Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Gusynka, Tabaivka, Berestov,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

In the Slobozhansk direction, the Russians remain in the border areas with Ukraine. Last day mortars and artillery shelled the territories of settlements near the Ukrainian-Russian border: Morozova Dolyna, Shevchenka, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Lukyantsi, Zelene, Staritsa, Gatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Varvarivka, Nesterne, Budarky and Chugunivka.
