Shelling of Snigurivka: dozens of houses were damaged, four families were left homeless

As a result of the shelling that Snigurivka suffered yesterday, 40 houses were damaged, and four were completely destroyed.

On Thursday, January 4, the head of the Sniguriv city military administration, Ivan Kukhta, reported: “The result of this worthless shelling is about 40 damaged private houses, of which 4 houses were completely destroyed. Four families were left homeless. A significant part of the neighborhood has been cut off.”

According to him, in the morning all efforts were aimed at helping the victims. Repair kits and building materials (slate, OSB-panels) were delivered, with which the employees helped cover the roofs within the limits of possibilities. During the day, representatives of the city council commission also worked at the site, drawing up inspection reports of damaged and destroyed housing to calculate the amount of damage. Oblenergo workers are gradually restoring the supply of electricity to the houses of the affected residents.

“Unfortunately, we will have to spend a lot of time and effort to eliminate the consequences of shelling and help residents restore their lost homes,” Ivan Kukhta emphasized.
