Shelling of the Kupyansk community: Russians destroyed a high-rise building

On April 20, Russian troops carried out another shelling of the territory of the Kharkiv region. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the village of Kivsharivka, which is part of the Kupyansk community, was hit.

“As a result of the hit in a five-story residential building, 36 apartments caught fire at once. The total area of ​​​​the fire was 1,600 square meters,” rescuers noted.

According to available information, the building was non-residential, so, fortunately, there were no victims or injuries as a result of the attack. Firefighters and doctors of the State Emergency Service worked at the scene, who promptly eliminated the consequences of the hit.

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration provided additional information about Russian attacks during the day:

04:45 – the city of Kupyansk: a garage and a car (50 m²) caught fire due to shelling with MLRS.

04:56 – Kupyansk city: the roof of a private house caught fire.

05:05 – Kupyansk city: another shelling with MLRS caused a roof fire (50 m²).

11:40 – Khotimlya village, Chuguyiv district: a suicide drone “Molniya” damaged a mobile crane and a truck.

On the night of April 19, the Russians fired 8 missiles of various types and 87 strike UAVs across the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 33 drones, another 36 were lost by location.

On the morning of April 19, Russian troops launched a combined strike on the Kherson region. As a result of an enemy attack in the village of Stanislav, a man born in 1967 died and received non-life-threatening injuries. Four more civilians were injured.
