Shelling of the Sumy region: a couple died as a result of the attack

Innocent civilians became the victims of the Russian Federation again.

A couple died as a result of the Russian shelling of the Sumy region border area. The Russians killed a 55-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

On December 11, 2024, in the village of Bilovody, Khotyn community, Sumy region, law enforcement officers found the bodies of a 55-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife in a burned-out house on the territory of a private household.

“According to the investigation, the house of the deceased was completely destroyed as a result of a Russian air strike,” the report says.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, are documenting the consequences of war crimes committed by the Russian military. The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
