
On May 9, Russian troops carried out massive shelling of settlements in Zaporizhzhia region.
This is stated in the message of the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
As a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Polohivskyi districts, one person was killed, three others were injured. In total, on May 9, the Russians launched 780 strikes on 33 cities and villages of the region. Details of the attacks:
Drones: The Russians used a record number of UAVs – 598 drones of various modifications (mainly FPV) attacked Komyshuvakha, Stepnohirsk, Orikhiv, Hulyaipole and more than 20 other settlements.
Artillery: 174 strikes were recorded on front-line communities, in particular on Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka and Malaya Tokmachka.
MLRS: Russians covered Stepnohirsk, Pavlovka and other villages with multiple rocket launchers 8 times.
As a result of the attacks, residential buildings, private cars and infrastructure facilities were destroyed – local authorities received 16 reports of damage.
The authorities once again call on residents of frontline areas not to ignore air raid sirens and to evacuate to safer regions if possible.
