Shelling of Zaporizhzhia: the number of dead has increased to 4, the bodies of two people were found under the rubble

In Zaporizhzhia, the death toll rose to four as a result of a rocket hitting a residential building. Rescuers found two more bodies under the rubble.

This was announced by the Acting Mayor of Zaporizhzhia, Anatoly Kurtev.

“Unfortunately, the number of people whose lives were cut short as a result of the night terrorist attack by the Russians has increased to four,” the message reads.

Two more bodies were found during search and rescue operations today.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

In Zaporizhzhia on October 18, after the Russian missile attack, city services are working to eliminate the consequences, and rescuers of the State Emergency Service and the city emergency rescue service are conducting search operations in a destroyed building.

This was announced by the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatoly Kurtev.

“About 30 high-rise buildings were damaged during the night (mostly their windows were blown out). 11 private houses, 2 educational and 2 medical institutions were also affected. The examination is ongoing,” the message reads. Currently, volunteers, together with service workers, cover broken windows with OSB sheets, remove construction debris, and repair outdoor lighting networks.
