Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 1,068 Ukrainian civilians have been injured by mines and explosive devices, including 100 children. This was reported by the Main Department of Mine Action.
“As of November 1, 2024, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, 1,068 people, including 100 children and 968 adults, have been injured by enemy mines and explosive remnants of war,” the message reads.
The press service noted that the most affected by explosive objects are:
farmers – 199 people, unemployed – 96, pensioners – 80, critical infrastructure workers – 112, drivers – 79, students – 90.
Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine open criminal proceedings against the Russian Federation’s violation of the rules and customs of warfare for each detonation of Russian mines among the Ukrainian civilian population.
