Since night, the Russians have been intensively attacking the Sumy region: a woman was injured, there are hits on civilian infrastructure

The settlements of the Sumy district of the Sumy region were subjected to intensive attacks by Russian strike drones on the night and morning of August 24.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov.

As noted, there are hits on the civilian infrastructure of the Sumy and Sadiv communities – agricultural enterprises and non-residential buildings were damaged.

Three times in the morning, the Russians attacked the Pischansky district of the Sumy community. One woman sought medical help – she has an acute stress reaction.

“Some of the Russian UAVs did not reach their targets. We thank the defense forces for their protection,” Grigorov added.

Russian troops attacked 36 settlements in the Sumy region: a man was injured, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed

From the morning of August 23 to the morning of August 24, 2025, Russian troops carried out more than 90 attacks on 36 settlements in 14 territorial communities of the region.

The regional military administration reported on the security situation in the Sumy region as of the morning of August 24.

As noted, a man born in 1980 was injured in the Novoslobodsk community as a result of strikes with guided aerial bombs.

According to the regional military administration, the most shelling was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
