Since October 7, 49 people, including three children, have been injured in the Kharkiv region as a result of Russian shelling, and another six have died.
This was reported by the Chief of Police in the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko.
Also, one hundred objects were destroyed or damaged, most of which are multi-story or private houses, mainly outside the city of Kharkiv.
Answering questions about evacuation in the region, Tymoshko said that the largest evacuation measures are currently being held in the Kupyan district. He also noted that the evacuation is almost complete in the Lypetsk and Vovchan communities of the Kharkiv district.
As of the morning of October 9, 16 victims of the shelling of Kharkiv on October 8 are receiving inpatient treatment in hospitals of the Kharkiv region. Two are in critical condition: a 35-year-old woman with a blast wound and brain injury and a 46-year-old man with a brain injury and lower extremity injury.
A total of 25 victims were hospitalized in medical institutions, including a 16-year-old boy in a medium condition with cut wounds of the lower limbs and acubarotrauma. A 10-year-old child was also helped on the spot.
