Situation update as of 6.00 a.m., 6th April, 2023
Over the past day, the enemy launched 3x missile and 29x air strikes, launched 51 attacks from MLRS.
The probability of long-distance missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mar’yinka axes. During the past day, more than 60x enemy attacks were repelled. Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mar’yinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities.
Volyn’, Polissya, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of formations of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
The russian federation continues to use the airspace and territory of the republic of belarus, its military infrastructure.
During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Turya, Leonivka, and Pechenyuga in the Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Stukalyvka, Bezsalivka, and Volfyne in the Sumy Oblast, as well as Odnorobivka, Udy, Chervona Zorya, Veterinarne, Kozacha Lopan, Lyptsi, Neskuchne, Ogirtseve, Zybine, and Bochkove in the Kharkiv Oblast.
Kupyansk axis: Topoli, Figolivka, Dvorichna, Masyutivka, Kupyansk, Kucherivka, Krokhmalne, Berestov of the Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka of the Luhansk Oblast were under enemy fire.
Lyman axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Nevsky and Serebryansky forestry areas. Makiivka, Nevske, Belogorivka in the Luhansk Oblast and Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Spirne and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk Oblast were hit by artillery fire.
Bakhmut axis: the enemy is trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, and continues to assault it. Also, during the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in vicinities of Bohdanivka and Ivanivske settlements. Units of the defense forces repelled about 20x enemy attacks on the indicated section of the frontline. More than 15x settlements were affected by enemy shelling, in particular, Vasyukivka, Minkivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Chasiv Yar, Novodmytrivka, Bila Gora, Kleban-Bik, Toretsk, and Shumy of the Donetsk Oblast.
Avdiivka and Mar’yinka axes: the enemy carried out offensive actions in the in the vicinities of Novokalynovoy, Avdiivka and Mar’yinka of the Donetsk Oblast, albeit was not successful. They made more than 25x unsuccessful attacks near Mar’yinka alone. At the same time, Novokalynov, Berdychi, Lastochkina, Avdiivka, Netaylove, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, and Pobyeda were under enemy fire.
Shakhtars’ke axis: during the day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Unmanned aerial vehicles were actively used to adjust artillery fire. The adversary shelled the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Prechistivka and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk Oblast.
Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes: the enemy is building up defensive lines and positions in terms of fortification. Fired on more than 35x settlements. Among them are Vremivka and Novopil’ of the Donetsk Oblast; Malynivka, Zaliznychne, Gulyaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Novopavlivka, Kam’ianske in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Lviv, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Stepanivka, and Chornobayivka in the Kherson Oblast.
The enemy continues to use the medical facilities of the temporarily captured territories for their own purposes. For example, the local hospital of Malaya Bilozerka, in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, was converted into a military hospital by the occupiers. Currently, russian doctors work in a civilian medical institution. They provide their services exclusively to russian military personnel. As of April 2 of this year, about 80x invaders with injuries of varying degrees of severity were being treated.
Over the past day, the Aviation of the Defense Forces made 17x strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers.
At the same time, our defenders destroyed a russian Ka-52 helicopter and 2x Orlan and Supercam UAVs. Units of missile forces and artillery hit 2x control points, 3x ammunition depots, 3x positions of anti-aircraft defense equipment and 4x radio electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
