Situation update as of 6 a.m., July 5, 2023
During the day of July 4, the enemy launched a missile attack on the town of Pervomais’kyi and the village of Bilyi Kolodyaz’ (Kharkiv oblast). In addition, 47x air strikes and 59x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements were reported. The russian terrorist attacks caused civilian casualties, damage to residential buildings, business and administrative buildings, and private vehicles.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The adversary focuses its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mar’inka axes, heavy fighting continues. During day of July 4, there were 40x combat engagements.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary continues to maintain military presence, intensified sabotage and reconnaissance activities in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. During the day of July 4, the invaders fired mortars and artillery at more than 15x settlements, including Hirs’k, Karpovychi, Mykhal’chyna Sloboda, Chaikyne (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Vovkivka, Myropillya, Ryasne (Sumy oblast), Odnorobivka, Udy, Vovchans’k, Okhrimivka, Zemlyanky (Kharkiv oblast).
Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary attempted an advance in an area south of Novoselivs’ke (Luhansk oblast). Our soldiers are standing their ground, all enemy attacks were repelled. Odradne, Novomlyns’k, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kup’yans’k, Masyutivka, and Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the adversary.
Lyman axis: with the aircraft support, the adversary attempted to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas west of Novovodyane and south of Dibrova (Luhansk oblast), to no success. More than 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Berestove, Vesele, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast), were shelled with artillery.
Bakhmut axis: under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the vicinities of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Bohdanivka (Donetsk oblast). At the same time, the Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct offensive operations south and north of the city of Bakhmut, consolidating their positions. The enemy fired artillery at more than 15x settlements, including Vasyukivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shul’tyne, and Pivnichne (Donetsk oblast).
Avdiivka axis, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinity of the city of Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast). At the same time, the adversary fired artillery at more than 10x settlements, including, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonen’ke, and Pervomais’ke (Donetsk oblast).
Mar’inka axis: under enemy artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of the city of Mar’inka. The adversary shelled more than 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Hostre, Mar’inka, and Pobjeda (Donetsk oblast).
Shakhtars’ke axis: the enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers shelled more than 15x settlements, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Makarivka, and Zelene Pole (Donetsk oblast).
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary focuses its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. Russian forces launched an air strike in the vicinity of Rivnopillya (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The invaders fired artillery at more than 30x settlements, including Levadne, Ol’hivs’ke, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Bilohir’ya (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Zmiivka, L’vove, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Veletens’ke, Stanislav (Kherson oblast), and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol’ and Berdyans’k axes, consolidating their positions, firing artillery for effect on the identified enemy targets, and conducting counter-battery fire.
An increase in the number of cases of acute intestinal infections has been reported in the temporarily occupied Skadovs’k and Heniches’k (Kherson oblast). The nature of the disease suggests cholera. The so-called authorities put in office by the occupation forces do not recognize the increase in the number of cases, attempting to keep low profile on the deteriorating sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region. They have started covert cholera vaccination of representatives of the so-called administrations and their immediate circle.
During the day of July 4, Ukrainian Air Force launched 13x air strikes on the concentrations of enemy troops, 3x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems, and 1x on an enemy command post. In addition, the Ukrainian defenders intercepted 5x operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAVs of the enemy.
During the day of July 4, the Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 1x concentration of troops, weapons, and military equipment of the adversary, 4x ammunition depots, 18x artillery systems at their firing positions, 3x air defence assets, and 2x electronic warfare stations of the adversary.
